Carol Quinn is a Colorado native and has made Gunnison her home for the better part of her life. She was formally educated in the spring of 2007, at the College of International Esthetics. Since the completion of her comprehensive studies in esthetics she has become a licensed esthetician and is certified in chemical peels and microdermabrasion as well.
Carol's career has evolved over a lifetime being one of several siblings and raising 3 teens of her own. Her aunt and current mentor is what inspired her to work in the field of esthetics. She continues her education through the Sanitas Training Institute of Boulder, Co. and working by working with others in the wellness and spa industry.
Shortly after school, Carol opened her own spa in Gunnison to meet the needs for great skin care. Spa la-la was designed with clients enjoyment, comfort, and relaxation in mind.
"I feel truly blessed to have our beautiful spa and to give special attention to each client's individual needs" states Carol. "We look forward to meeting you at Spa la-la!"
Gabrielle (Gabby) Kellman found "home" after moving to
the Gunnison Valley in 2003. While working in the health care profession as a CNA, she was encouraged to
pursue her hidden talent for giving massage. After graduating from the Mountain Heart School in Crested
Butte, CO in 2005, she increased her experience level by giving massage, free of charge, until becoming
employed as a massage therapist. She worked under the service of others for four years, during which
time she was blessed to meet Carol Quinn and encouraged to go into business with her.
"I find great pleasure being able to assist people in improving their health and wellbeing through the
relaxation and release process that massage provides. I enjoy reading and continuously improving my skills
and technique."
In the years following her certification, she has
taken extended studies in: spa treatments (including hot stones massage, body wraps and scrubs),
stretching, sports massage, Abhyanga (Indian hot oil and energy movement massage), and orthobionomy. She
currently attends Western State College as a student of Environmental Studies and Chemistry.
Joelle Arnold moved to Crested Butte,
Colorado in the Fall of 2005. She moved to the area to attend massage school and experience
life in the Rockies. She went to the MountainHeart School of Bodywork and Transformational Therapy
and graduated in May of 2006. She has since attended a Sports Massage Enhancement Workshop
and an Abyhanga (Indian oil massage) Workshop to increase both her skills and offerings
to clients. "I enjoy taking continuing education courses, and know it will benefit my clients
as well as myself."
Joelle has a passion for bodywork and truly enjoys her practice. Her philosophy is that anyone can benefit from a massage,
and it is always important to take time for yourself in today's non-stop world.
In 2009, Joelle moved her business to join Carol and Gabby at Spa la-la in Gunnison. She enjoys working in Gunnison
and finds it to be a very "down to earth place."
